Yoga Rookie: Basics for Beginners

Yoga Rookie is perfect for you if you are new to yoga, desire to learn the basics, or haven’t practiced in a while and want to make the transition back to a regular practice.

Detailed instruction, demonstration, and hands-on assistance will guide you through:
  • The beginner and fun postures (asanas) with attention to proper alignment
  • Breathing techniques (pranayama)
  • De-stress techniques, concentration, and meditation (dhyana)
  • The benefits of yoga
  • The different styles of yoga practice and which one is right for you
  • Using yoga for wellness and fitness
You also will learn how to adapt yoga postures to your ability and body type and how to use props for a more enjoyable practice.

Hot Vinyasa for Rookies

Check out the yoga that is most “hyped”.

A slower-paced hot vinyasa class to give you time to position your body, connect to your breath and adjust to practice in a heated room. The room is heated to 85 degrees and helps open and stretch the tightest muscles. Through connecting breath and movement, you learn to steady the mind (mental thoughts) and experience being more comfortable in the conscious (intuitive self-aware) mind.

Hot Vinyasa yoga is designed for students to:
  • Experience the benefits of breathing easier, deeper, and longer. 
  • Increase fitness level 
  • Learn to reduce the feeling of agitation and stress

Beginners Progressive

8 week session | $99

Calling Yoga Rookie graduates or students with some yoga experience! Learn and practice new postures and sequences! Beginners Progressive is taught at a slow/moderate pace with detailed instruction on alignment and breathing. Venture into a more advanced pranayama and meditation practice and yoga tools and techniques that create fitness, calm and greater vitality. You will gain the confidence to join other yoga classes or feel free to continue in progressions as your regular practice.
