Yoga Rookie: Basics for Beginners


New to Yoga? Want to Learn the Basics of Breath, Movement, and Body Awareness? Looking to transition back to a regular yoga practice? This session is for you. 

Through detailed instructions, hands-on assist, and slow physical integration, Yoga Rookies will explore:

  • Beginner and fun postures (asanas) with attention to proper alignment
  • Breathing techniques (pranayama)
  • De-stress techniques, concentration, and meditation (dhyana)
  • Instruction on The benefits of yoga
  • The different styles of yoga practice and which one is right for you
  • Using yoga for wellness and fitness

You also will learn how to adapt yoga postures to your ability and body type and how to use props for a more enjoyable practice.
