The fact is we have more control over our health and life than we have been taught to believe. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all.

New Moon Ceremony with Becki Portis Sat, Feb 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$35 | Early Bird February 3rd $29

The moon represents the cyclical nature of life and as the ruler of the tides. It is fitting that in Astrology, the Moon is also the ruler of our emotions.
The moon has influence over how we feel about things and how our emotions affect others. Through the Moon's energy, we can endeavor to reconcile various emotion--in order to make ourselves complete and one with the world.

The New Moon is observed when the moon is directly in line with the Sun and Earth, but we are unable to see it because the Moon's dark side is facing the Earth, making it appear dark (hidden/nonexistent). Many believe that the energy of the New Moon is a time of transformation, new beginnings, an explosion of creative energy, and personal growth. The New Moon is seen as a natural, wonderful time to perform rituals of blessing and healing--a time to focus on our desires and dreams of what we want to manifest now.

There is power in coming up with visions for your life, and keeping them in your sights as they come into being.  This practice is a chance to form a ritual of renewal for yourself, acknowledging your own evolutionary process and reflecting to set/re-set intentions. Choose an active role in the co-creation of your life!

Buti Yoga Workshop with Becki Portis Sat, Mar 3, 2018 at 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
$35 | Early Bird by February 17th $29
Women's Only Class

Buti Yoga is a soulful blend of kundalini activation, power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning, and deep abdominal toning. This all-in-one workout tones and sculpts the entire body while facilitating complete inner transformation.
Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means, “a cure that has been hidden or kept secret.” Sattva means, "enlightened one.” Therefore, a Butisattva is one that has successfully realized that the power to heal is from within. This practice helps women strip away the barriers that hide this cure to bring about total transformation. Buti Yoga helps women tap into their inner power to unleash unshakable confidence, uncover true desire, as well as bond with other women in a non-competitive way. The Buti Yoga movement methodology, based on traditional forms of Eastern Yoga, both clears away stagnant energy and revitalizes the body, allowing the student to shift their perception of the world around them. Each class is accompanied with a diverse playlist of tribal beats, hip-hop, or pretty much anything with a heavy baseline. It takes you through an improvised creative movement experience lead by the instructor while placing intense emphasis on body mechanics. Bring your water and come ready to shakti sweat it out on your mats!

Yoga Nidra, Art, & Journaling Series

Yoga nidra and art-making are two practices that enhance communication between the conscious and subconscious mind, leading to higher levels of awareness. During the nidra practice, our bodies are put to sleep while our mind maintains a one-pointed awareness. On the opposite end of the spectrum, during the art-making portion, our bodies are fully awake and actively functioning while our artistic process brings us to this space.

When your conscious mind is able to dialogue with deeper aspects of self, subconscious enlightenment has the potential to occur—leading to conscious integration. Achieving this clarity can be a fundamental turning point for manifesting our qualities of self into a cohesive, realistic whole.

You will be taken through yoga nidra meditations and visualizations asking you to identify with, feel, explore, and observe your internal space. After the nidra practice, you will use journaling and art materials to enhance feelings, colors, qualities, messages, and images present in your experience.

The goal of this series is to bring students in to a space where they can strengthen emotional awareness of Self. This series is especially great for self-exploration, taking an observational role towards the Self, setting intentions, and breaking the pattern of unwanted repetitive thoughts/habits.

Bring a sketchbook, dry art materials, and/or a journal from home if you have it! Otherwise, additional paper and art materials are provided for you.

Full Moon Ceremony with Becki Portis Sat, Mar 31, 2018 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Full Moon Ceremony

$35 | $29 Early Bird before March 17th.

The moon, being the closest astronomical body to Earth, has a profound effect on us. It represents the feminine, emotional, creative and nurturing aspects of our lives.

One complete cycle of the moon takes exactly 28 days to complete, radiating her energy to us in cycles of waxing and waning, bringing in and releasing, ebbing and flowing.

Many cultures believe in following the cycles of the moon, working with this wonderful gift of nature to harness the different energetic influences at each of the stages.

During the Full Moon, energy is powerful and intense. This energetic surge enables you to take action. The powerful energy makes it the perfect time to release that which no longer serves you, let go of what you no longer need in your life; or allow for the opportunity to let go of an aspect of yourself that you have outgrown.

Please join Becki for A Full Moon ceremony to invoke this energy through guided and free form movement, breath work, guided meditation, as well as journaling. Come ready and willing to unburden old patterns; creating space to make way for magical opportunities to emerge!
