Creating Sacred Space with Sound Healing Meditation with Patricia Norton Fri, Oct 20, 2017 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$50 | Earlybird by Oct 15th $44

A sonic environment is created using a variety of instruments including quartz crystal and Himalayan bowls, gong and rain stick, along with mantra, vocal toning and chant. Every sound journey is different as it is essentially an intuitive process requiring deep sensitivity as to what is needed and the choice of sounds used. The instruments are played around and over you, and sometimes on you, so you can feel their vibrations on a visceral level.

Sound with heartfelt intention bypasses the analytical hemisphere of the brain allowing the creative and intuitive hemisphere to have free reign. Harmonic sound incites a deep relaxation and letting go as the tones act as keys to unlock denser energy held within the physical, emotional and etheric bodies and the unconscious mind.

Relax, enjoy and bathe in a shower of soothing tones. All levels of experience are welcome.

Full Moon Ceremony

$35|$29 Early Enrollment before October 20th.

The moon, being the closest astronomical body to Earth, has a profound effect on us. It represents the feminine, emotional, creative and nurturing aspects of our lives.

One complete cycle of the moon takes exactly 28 days to complete, radiating her energy to us in cycles of waxing and waning, bringing in and releasing, ebbing and flowing.

Many cultures believe in following the cycles of the moon, working with this wonderful gift of nature to harness the different energetic influences at each of the stages.

During the Full Moon, energy is powerful and intense. This energetic surge enables you to take action. The powerful energy makes it the perfect time to release that which no longer serves you, let go of what you no longer need in your life; or allow for the opportunity to let go of an aspect of yourself that you have outgrown.

Please join Becki for A Full Moon ceremony to invoke this energy through guided and free form movement, breath work, guided meditation, as well as journaling. Come ready and willing to unburden old patterns; creating space to make way for magical opportunities to emerge!

November 18th; 3:30-5:00pm

$35 | Earlybird by November 10th $29
Women's Only Class

Buti Yoga is a soulful blend of kundalini activation, power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning, and deep abdominal toning. This all-in-one workout tones and sculpts the entire body while facilitating complete inner transformation.
Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means, “a cure that has been hidden or kept secret.” Sattva means, "enlightened one.” Therefore, a Butisattva is one that has successfully realized that the power to heal is from within. This practice helps women strip away the barriers that hide this cure to bring about total transformation. Buti Yoga helps women tap into their inner power to unleash unshakable confidence, uncover true desire, as well as bond with other women in a non-competitive way. The Buti Yoga movement methodology, based on traditional forms of Eastern Yoga, both clears away stagnant energy and revitalizes the body, allowing the student to shift their perception of the world around them. Each class is accompanied with a diverse playlist of tribal beats, hip-hop, or pretty much anything with a heavy baseline. It takes you through an improvised creative movement experience lead by the instructor while placing intense emphasis on body mechanics. Bring your water and come ready to shakti sweat it out on your mats!

Yoga as Medicine- 5 day Training with Timothy McCall Next held on Sat, Mar 17, 2018 at 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
This enrollment runs from Sat Mar 17, 2018 - Wed Mar 21, 2018
Yoga As Medicine is a 5-day, 30-hour, hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves intensive workshop, with much of the time spent doing yoga therapy in small groups under Timothy's supervision. Practice observing bodies, study breathing patterns, analyzing doshas (body-mind types as described in ancient Ayurvedic medicine), and tailoring personalized therapeutic yoga practices. Lectures, yoga practices, writing exercises and guided meditations complement the group case work. In addition, on Sunday, Timothy will demonstrate an in-depth yoga therapy evaluation of one of the workshop participants. For those unable to join us for the full 5-days, there are a limited numbers of spots available to attend the weekend-only portion of the training.

During case work, which begins Monday, and in detailed discussions of selected cases, we evaluate "patients" in five categories, using the acronym SNAPS: Structural, Nervous System and Breath, Ayurveda, Psychology and Spirituality. This holistic roadmap allows for a systematic assessment of function on all levels of body, mind and spirit. YAM uses the full palette of yogic tools including poses, breathing techniques, meditation and philosophy as well as dietary and lifestyle advice.

Past attendees have included healers, health care professionals, yoga students and teachers, as well as those seeking yoga therapy for such conditions as back pain, cancer, arthritis, heart problems, Parkinson’s disease, anxiety and depression. Familiarity with basic yoga concepts and practices is helpful, but not absolutely necessary.
