ACROVINYASA take yoga from earth to air. Uniting elements of vinyasa, inversion training, and acro-yoga, this practice cultivates trust and community in a powerful way. The core of ACROVINYASA is focused on synchronizing breath with movement, building strength and finding balance. Inspired by traditional yoga asana and L-based acrobatic flying, this progressive yoga system includes both solo and partner practice.

After completing the Intro to ACROVINYASA workshop, (Intro to AcroVinyasa is a Prerequisite to enroll in Progressions) students are invited to expand their practice with a 4-week series. Similar to a Vinyasa practice, ACROVINYASA builds on itself and allows the practioner to get creative as they link poses together-- almost like a dance. Come to learn new poses, new transitions and to have space to play and create with this progressive practice of yoga.

Expect to HAVE FUN, to learn something new, and to strengthen your solo and partner practice.

New Moon Live Music Flow with Becki Portis Fri, Jun 23, 2017 at 9:30 pm - 10:55 pm
$35 | Earlybird by June 6th $29

The moon represents the cyclical nature of life and as the ruler of the tides.  It is fitting that in Astrology, the Moon is also the ruler of our emotions.

The moon has influence over how we feel about things and how our emotions affect others. Through the Moon's energy, we can endeavor to reconcile various emotion--in order to make ourselves complete and one with the world.

The New Moon is observed when the moon is directly in line with the Sun and Earth, but we are unable to see it because the Moon's dark side is facing the Earth, making it appear dark (hidden/nonexistent). Many believe that the energy of the New Moon is a time of transformation, new beginnings, an explosion of creative energy, and personal growth. The New Moon is seen as a natural, wonderful time to perform rituals of blessing and healing--a time to focus on our desires and dreams of what we want to manifest now.

There is power in coming up with visions for your life, and keeping them in your sights as they come into being. On Friday night, June 23rd the New Moon will peak and we will gather in a “New Moon Live Music Flow”.  This practice is a chance to form a ritual of renewal for yourself, acknowledging your own evolutionary process and reflecting to set/re-set intentions. We will put our intentions in writing and charge them through collective consciousness and with the planetary energies--allowing our dreams and wishes to take root and open the door to magical change. Choose an active role in the co-creation of your life!

First we dream it, then we real life it!

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you are always in the same place.” -- Nora Roberts

Creating Sacred Space with Sound Healing Meditation with Patricia Norton Sat, Jun 24, 2017 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$50 | Earlybird by June 10th $44

A sonic environment is created using a variety of instruments including quartz crystal and Himalayan bowls, gong and rain stick, along with mantra, vocal toning and chant. Every sound journey is different as it is essentially an intuitive process requiring deep sensitivity as to what is needed and the choice of sounds used. The instruments are played around and over you, and sometimes on you, so you can feel their vibrations on a visceral level.

Sound with heartfelt intention bypasses the analytical hemisphere of the brain allowing the creative and intuitive hemisphere to have free reign. Harmonic sound incites a deep relaxation and letting go as the tones act as keys to unlock denser energy held within the physical, emotional and etheric bodies and the unconscious mind.

Relax, enjoy and bathe in a shower of soothing tones. All levels of experience are welcome.

The Art and Science of Self-Realization: Bhagavad-gita Immersion $45 | Single Session ..... $80 | Saturday Immersion ..... $99 | 3-module Weekend ..........Session 1: Developing Spiritual Vision: Seeing Through the Eyes of the Bhagavad-gita builds a foundation for a paradigm-shifting transformation of our experience of the world. Session 2: Eight Life Lessons from the Bhagavad-gita explores the take-aways from the first session: what do we learn from this paradigm-shifting transformation of our experience and how can we apply those lessons in a practical way? Session 3: Karma, Jnana, and Bhakti: The Yoga of the Bhagavad-gita completes the cycle with a detailed analysis of the Gita's systematic exposition of varieties of yogic practices and the metaphysics behind them. This 3-part series is good for students hoping to dig deeper into the philosophy of this cornerstone text, and it is an excellent complement for folks who are in or have completed a Teacher Training program. Whether standing on it's own as a complete unit or for workshop drop-ins, this weekend immersion is one "for the books."
Session One: Developing Spiritual Vision with Hari-kirtana Das Sat, Jul 29, 2017 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Spiritual vision is the transcendental level of experience characterized by a sense of intimate connection to all existence. At this level we see our selves and others as eternal spirit souls, and feel deep love and attachment for the Supreme Being, whom we see, directly or indirectly, everywhere. In this session we'll learn how to see the world through the eyes of the Bhagavad-gita, explore the implications of spiritual vision, identify the obstacles to spiritual vision, and a map out progressive path toward acquiring spiritual vision.
Session Two: Eight Life Lessons with Hari-kirtana Das Sat, Jul 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The dialog of the Bhagavad-gita is set in the midst of a battlefield: the great warrior Arjuna has become entangled in a complex web of duplicity and intrigue that’s about to culminate in a devastating war. Plagued by doubt, fear, anger, and despair, Arjuna turns to Krishna for guidance. In this workshop, we'll explore the wisdom of Krishna's teachings in the Gita, discuss strategies for accessing transcendental knowledge, and see how we can practically apply these ancient teachings in our modern lives and relationships.
Session Three: The Yoga System with Hari-kirtana Das Sun, Jul 30, 2017 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Bhagavad-gita describes four systems of yoga: karma-yoga, ashtanga-yoga, bhakti-yoga, and jnana-yoga. In this session, we'll look at each system as discrete practices, as a 'yoga ladder' that progresses to an ultimate goal, and as integral parts of a complete system of spiritual awakening. Participants will learn how yoga works as a means to defy the laws of physics, describes a spiritual technology to reverse-engineer the process of material creation, provides a meta-physical foundation for understanding the physical world, and awakens pure love within the heart of the practitioner.

Note: Class size is limited to 11 students. NONREFUNDABLE PAYMENT is required for the waitlist with no space guaranteed-- if you do not clear the waitlist, the purchase may be applied to any future Aerial Workshop: Level 1 with space permitting. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are registering 2 or more people, call the studio to confirm your spots! Please arrive on time for class-- students will not be admitted to class more than 5 minutes after the scheduled start time.

Experience how tools of yoga can improve focus and memory and eliminate the “brain fog” we experience in our over-stressed lives. Central to the workshop is a 12-minute meditation that has shown positive results on brain health and overall well-being in several research studies. Practice specific breathing techniques and a physical practice to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, energize and activate - all important to maintain good brain health. Perfect for anyone who wants to live with more clarity at any age, those dealing with health issues that cause brain fog and anyone caring for a loved one or client with memory related diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Yoga to De-Stress with Susan Mondi Sat, Nov 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$35 | Early Bird by October 21st $29

Stress is a relatively new condition to humanity but it is one of the leading causes of disease.  Yoga brilliantly reduces stress, balances the body and gives us a respite from the never-ending pressure of today.  A yoga practice targeted at reducing stress will change your life.

Yoga to De-stress includes lecture, self-inquiry and yoga practice sets to cater to the specific stress (physical, psychological and emotional) that you are experiencing.   In the Yoga to De-stress workshop you will practice and leave with yoga practice sets that target your most common stress experiences.

Perfect for all levels of students, spouses & friends that are new to yoga! This is a great intro to yoga for a beginner. The advanced student will be equally as interested in specifically targeting yoga practices to reduce stress.  Expect asana, pranayama (breathing and energetic balance exercises), visualization, meditation.  Bring your sense of adventure and your sense of humor.  You have stress because you are living a full life!

Teachers will earn Continuing Education Credits. Certificate upon Request.

“There is a way between voice and presence
where information flows.
In disciplined silence it opens.
With wandering talk it closes.”
—Rumi

When we chant in a circle, it is like a devotional singing lovefest - opening the heart by chanting in Sanskrit and English, with periods of meditation in between, honoring the many aspects of the Divine. The goal is to touch the stillness within, and the magic of chanting to the Vedic deities - Krishna, Ram, Shiva, Divine Mother, etc. - awakens energy from within that is healing, blessed, and filled with grace. We all are our own best friends!

Join Rufus Juskus, along with a few volunteer percussionists, for a community gathering in song, dance, and devotion. No matter what religion, what persuasion, or what label is attached, we are all in the same boat, going in the same direction, singing to the same Power that lives in us all!
