Our Prenatal Series is a unique practice designed to guide you through your pregnancy journey. Our dedicated team of Prenatal Yoga instructors will lead you through movement and breathing techniques sequenced to be safe, nurturing, and fun throughout all trimesters of your pregnancy. Bond with other Momma’s-to-be while preparing your body for delivery in a calm and supportive environment.

Taught by nurturing women, Thrive Prenatal Yoga classes are appropriate for any pregnant woman in all trimesters.  Feel great in your changing body while connecting to your baby and other moms-to-be. Prenatal Yoga classes are designed and sequenced to help alleviate common discomforts in pregnancy and to prepare moms for labor and early motherhood. Classes include asanas (postures) for strength and flexibility. Learn breathing exercises and visualization techniques to build confidence for labor and motherhood.   Pose modifications are offered to our moms-to-be to allow for a personalized practice for you and baby. Our creative prenatal classes are fun and supportive. Many of our students write us after they have given birth to share their stories of how their yoga practice helped them in labor. *Check our workshop schedule for our popular “Yoga for Labor and Delivery” workshop for you and/or for couples.

Guidelines

  • Enroll in Prenatal Yoga as early in your pregnancy as you desire. Sessions are 8-weeks.  Space permitting, we will prorate your session if you sign up after the start of the session date.
  • Thrive specializes in Prenatal Yoga. If you need to miss a class in your session, you may make up the missed class in one of the other Prenatal Yoga sessions.  Cancel your class at least 30 minutes in advance. Kindly pre-register in another Prenatal Yoga class from another concurrent session.  You have approximately 2 weeks after the end of the series to complete all makeups.
  • Did the stork arrive early?  If your baby arrives before the prenatal session ends, you may transfer unused classes to adult yoga classes by emailing info@thriveyoga.com.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class start time.

Yoga for Labor and Delivery

Preparing for childbirth may bring anxiety over the changes and discomforts that begin to take place almost immediately to both the body and the mind. Pregnant women will learn yoga postures to feel more comfortable during pregnancy, and breathing techniques for energy and relaxation.
