Sleep has everything to do with our overall well-being. It impacts our heart and cardiovascular health, focus and concentration, stress and anxiety levels, immune system, propensity for obesity and diabetes, and so much more. Yet, so many of us struggle with getting a good night’s sleep, especially in this digital age.
This 4-part series will share how an integrative practice of yoga can help provide a better night’s sleep through:
  • Gentle asana practice to release tension and calm the central nervous system, and specific poses that have been proven to induce relaxation and promote better sleep
  • Pranayama (breathing) to calm and quiet the mind
  • Meditation to release the constant chatter we experience in our minds
  • Sound healing to soothe and calm
  • Aromatherapy, using essential oils that promote sleep
  • and Yoga Nidra. “Nidra” literally means “sleep.” Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation to reach a deep state of relaxation. Twenty minutes of Yoga Nidra is often compared to four hours of sleep.
You’ll learn take-home practices to incorporate into your nighttime routine! Open to students of all levels.
