Student Guidelines
To respect other students, we ask that you honor the following guidelines:
- Arrive 5-10 minutes before class. If you do arrive late, please wait outside the room until 10 minutes past the scheduled time and then enter the practice room. The first 10-minutes of class is dedicated to centering and it is distracting to other students to hear the creaking of feet and mats arriving late.
- Turn off your cell phones. Should you need your cell phone in the practice room, please make sure that it is silenced.
- Yoga is practiced in bare feet. Remove your shoes before entering the practice rooms.
- Mention any injuries or special conditions to your teacher at the beginning of class.
- Focus on YOUR practice. Fellow students have different background, genetics, abilities and experience. Honor your abilities at your level and you will gain all the benefits of yoga.
- Avoid leaving class early. If you must, do so quietly before savasana or final resting pose without disturbing others.
- ENJOY your practice. Yoga is one path to opening the heart and mind. Whatever your reason for practicing yoga, enjoy the process!
