Katie Iciek

Describe yourself in three words: Passionate, resilient, brave.
Why do you teach Yoga? Because it’s so much fun! I get to share my passion for yoga with anyone who walks in the door.
What's the scariest thing on your bucket list? To learn how to fly a plane.
What inspires you? Everyone I meet. I believe that every single person comes into your life for a reason. I am the person I am today because of the people I’ve met along the way.
Where did you get your training/certifications? Thrive 200 RYT

Katie Iciek came to yoga in 2013 as a runner looking for relief from physical tension. Originally drawn to the asana practice, Katie grew increasingly interested in meditation and the subtle body. She has been hooked ever since and completed her 200 hour teacher training at Thrive in 2015. Katie’s classes include playful asana, dynamic pranayama, and deep meditation. She encourages students to explore each pose and make the practice uniquely theirs!

Jessica Apo

Describe yourself in three words: Outgoing, honest, caring.

Why do you teach Yoga? Teaching yoga allows me to move at a higher vibration. I enjoy seeing the transformation that takes place for my students not only on their mats, but in their everyday lives.

What is something surprising about you? I enjoy saying things for shock value!

What inspires you? Music, movement, and nature.

What's the scariest thing on your bucket list? It might seem silly, but to embrace the aging process.

Where did you get your training/certifications? 200 hour - Yoga Works, 300 hour ISHTA Yoga, E-RYT 500, RPYT

 

Jessica is a Prenatal Yoga Teacher and Thrive Teacher Trainer. Her classes include asana, pranayama and meditation where she encourages students to pay close attention to their experience feeling breath, body and energetic movement as a way to surrender to the moment. Her passion and enthusiasm for yoga will excite you and keep you coming back for more!

Rikki Gritz

Describe yourself in three words: Nurturing, compassionate, courageous
Why do you teach Yoga? I want to be able to hold space for people to experience an honest, authentic, and raw version of themselves; as well as sharing my love, and passion for this practice.
What is something surprising about you? I once lived in Auroville. It’s an experimental township in Southern India based on Human Unity. I studied yoga and sustainable living for a year.
What inspires you? students, ocean, family, adventures/traveling, yoga
What's the scariest thing on your bucket list? To live with wild animals
Where did you get your training/certifications?Completing my 200 hour at Thrive, Prenatal YTT with April Puciata

Rikki Gritz was first introduced to Iygenar yoga in Gunnison, Colorado in 2010 while attending college. She immediately fell in love with the practice, and, as a result, she bought a plane ticket to embark on a yoga journey to India. Since then she has dedicated herself to the study, practice and teaching of yoga. Rikki is known for her authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and her compassion-centered philosophy. Rikki recently completed a 200-hour teacher training at Thrive and an 15-hour prenatal training with April Puciata.

Appropriate for any trimester with any level of experience in yoga, this class is designed to increase your energy and stamina while building strength, flexibility, and balance. Breath exercises and postures will help reduce fatigue and tension while improving circulation and keep you comfortable and feeling fit throughout your pregnancy. Special Sequencing of postures, breath exercises and visualization are designed to aid you in labor. Connect with other moms-to-be in a supportive and healthy environment!
